This manuscript contains a collection of Irish medical material, concerning three classes (animal, mineral and plant), arranged alphabetically.

Contents:
f. 1r: An added note in English, stating that the manuscript was presented by Sir William Bentham on May 24th, 1827.
f. 2r: An added note that the manuscript was purchased from Thomas Rodd on 18th January, 1845, lot 15 at Sufson Sale.
f. 3r-72v: Irish materia medica concerning three classes: animal, mineral, and plant, arranged by initial; beginning and ending imperfectly.
ff. 1v and 2v are blank.

Provenance:
'Fergus': a note in English, written upside down, concerning claims that the manuscript was in the posession of a certain Fergus (f. 50v).
Sir William Bentham (b. 1779, d. 1853), herald and antiquarian: a note on an added paper leaf claiming that the manuscript was presented by him to the Duke of Sussex on 24 May 1827.
Prince Augustus Frederick (b. 1773, d. 1843), Duke of Sussex: apparently acquired from Sir William Bentham (see above) and later included in the Sussex sale (his bookplate, inside the upper cover).
Thomas Thorpe (b. 1791, d. 1851), London bookseller: purchased the manuscript at the Sussex sale on 31 July 1844 (lot 18).
Thomas Rodd the Younger (b. 1796, d. 1849), London bookseller: purchased the manuscript, 18 January 1845 for the British Museum.
