"A BOOKE touching Sir Thomas Overbury, who was murthered in the Tower of London, 15 Sept. 1613," containing, i. The proceedings on the divorce of Lady Frances Howard and Robert Earl of Essex, 1614; ii. The Trials of Richard Weston, Anne Turner, Sir Jervase Helvash [Elwes], James Francklyn, Sir Thomas Munson, and the Earl and Countess of Somerset, for the murder of Sir Thomas Overbury, 1615, 1616; iii. A ballad upon the Earle and the Countesse, to the tune of 0 the wind and the raine; iv. Notes taken in 1637, from the mouth of Sir Nicolas Overbury, the father of Sir Thomas. Prefixed is the following note, " Memorandum, that I, Nicolas Oldisworth, who wrote this booke, (being an extract out of diverse Records, Letters, etc.,) did deliberatly reade it over, on Thursday the ixth of October, 1687, in the bearing of my old grandfather, Sir Nicolas Overbury," etc., who affirmed the truth of its contents.
