Madrigals or 'Cantate ' for 2 and 3 voices, with a bass for harpsichord, in score, here attributed in a later hand to 'Bigalio,' sc. Diogenio Bigaglia, but more probably composed by G. C. M. Clari, under whose name they appear in a MS belonging to the Royal College of Music, in which they are described as vol. iv of his Madrigals. (See also Add MS 14394, 14395) Nos. 1-6 are for 2 voices, the others for 3 voices. A brief notice of Bigaglia, by Sir John Hawkins, is inserted at f. 1.
