ORIGINAL REGISTER of "marriages, crysteninges and burialles" in the (now submerged) parish-church of St. Peter, Dunwich, co. Suffolk; 1539-1657. A note on f. 2, dated 11 Mar. 1698[9], gives some particulars of the church and of its destruction by the sea in 1688 and 1697, and states that Thomas Rosse, Vicar of Westleton, gave the book to the writer. The latter, in a further note, signed by John Leman, is identified as Thomas Leman, Esq., of Wenhaston. Damaged in the middle by damp. Vellum ; ff. 84. Small Folio.
