By Francis Lenton, Gent: The Queens Maties Poet: Together with the Translation, and Illustration, of the 83. psalme . . . . 1638." Dedicated "to the worshipfull and worthy of honour, the prudent, pious and courteous Thomas Coteel, Esquire " (the name partly obliterated), whose arms, in colour, are on f. 3 b. The poem, which was never published, begins "When the stiffneck't and stubborne Isralites." Paper; ff. 84. XVIIth cent. In contemporary binding of darkbrown morocco, tooled. A description of this and of two other copies is in W. Carew Hazlitt's Collections and Notes, 1867-76 (1876), p. 255 ; whence it appears that Mr. [Richard] Heber procured this MS. at Mr. Thomas Hill's sale in 1811.
