LETTERS and papers of Julius Schneider, "Königlicher Musikdirector, Professor und Orgelrevisor," relating to the post which he occupied, under the Minister of Religion, in the German Empire. Three volumes. Vols. I. and II. contain chiefly estimates for new organs, or notes of repairs, in numerous German towns, with letters from organ-builders and others interspersed. Vol. III. consists principally of the dimensions of organs and organ-pipes, etc., price-lists, and a few notes and letters. In Vol. III. f. 1, is a list of musical works, probably in the library of Julius Schneider, whose name appears as the composer of some of them, with a note of the number of times they were performed in 1836-1839.
