A TRACT on English Trade with Germany and Eastland, addressed to Queen Elizabeth, by George Nedham, setting forth the advantage of transferring it from the dominions of the House of Burgundy (i.e. the Spanish Netherlands) to the port of Emden. Written circ. 1562 (f. 9), but incorporating, "articles" drawn up earlier. Nedham appears from several papers in the Lansdowne MSS. (esp. Lansd. 35, f. 116), to have been farmer of the Custom House Quay in London. A note by him on the same subject is in Lansd. 32, f. 147, and he probably had a hand in the tract Add. MS. 29,251, addressed to the Count of East Friesland in 1564, though this last purports to be by a Frisian subject. Paper; ff. 16. About A.D. 1562. Some leaves mouse-eaten. Old press-mark E 17. From the Scudamore collection at Holme Lacy (catal. of T. Thorpe, the bookseller, 1850, no. 310). Phillipps MS.
