1. "HISTOIRE morale et philosophique du Jeu des Echecs" a French version by Johan Ferron, Friar Preacher of Paris, of the "Liber Moralis de ludo Scaccorum" of Jacobus de Cessolis. It is dedicated" a noble homme Bertran Aubert de Tarascon," and was commenced May 1347. f. 1.
2. "Ci apres encommence. j. [un] biau traitie qui parle de la sainte abbaye." f. 29.
3. "Ci commence l'abre de la croix Jhesu Crist" a French metrical translation of the "Lignum Vitae" of St. Bonaventura. f. 32 b. Vellum; XIVth cent.; although at the end is the following note in a XVth cent. hand: "Iste liber pertinet fratri Petro Basin, quem fecit scribi Neauphe [? Nealpha, Nesle] dum erat ibi residens cum domina regina Blancha [? Blanche, Queen of Navarre, 1425-1441, wife successively to Martin, King of Sicily, and John, King of Aragon and Sicily], cujus deus habeat animam." Beneneath is written, "Ex monasterio S. Ebrulphi [St. Evroul, in the diocese of Lisieux], 1711." Folio.
