HENRICI archidiaconi Huntingdonensis Historia Anglorum, usque ad ann. regis Stephani 13 [1148], libri duodecim. In this copy the 8th and 10th books are transposed; the latter contains the three epistles, De Serie regum potentissimorum; De origine regum Britannorum; and, De Contemptu mundi. The llth book consists of epigrams; the 12th of various poems. Some historical excerpta follow, viz.: Leges sancti Edwardi, f. 132; Quomodo Sancta Margareta, etc., in Angliam venit. f. 140; Genealogia ducum Normannorum, f. 141 b; Historia Hierosolymitana, f. 143. The manuscript appears to have been written for Daniel Rogers in the year 1569, and contains various notes in his handwriting. It belonged to Samuel Pegge in the year 1755. Paper; XVIth cent. Folio.
