A TRANSLATION "de Latin en Romance" of the Ethics of Aristotle, by Charles, Prince of Viana, son of John II., of Navarre, Aragon and Sicily, for his uncle Alphonso V., of Aragon: from the Latin of Lionardo Aretino. On f. 236 is the "Lamentation e plannimiento" of the Prince on the death of Alphonso [27 June, 1458]. At the end of the volume is written, "Finis Ethicorum cum miseranda lamentatione libri ab Altadello summi Aragonum et Navarre principis librario." Beautifully written on vellum of fine quality; the initial letters very richly illuminated, and the first page surrounded by a highly-finished border containing shields with the arms of Aragon, Navarre, and Sicily, mottoes and devices; XVth cent. Folio.
