ORDER-BOOK of Lord Nelson as Commander-in-Chief in the Mediterranean, 15 Nov. 1804-17 Oct. 1805. There are two entries of earlier date, 16 July (f. 36 b) and 13 Oct. (f. 29 b) ; otherwise the sequence is in the main chronological. The orders are issued for the most part to individual officers of the fleet, some to victuallers and such like. A few of the items are printed by Nicolas, but from other sources. The preceding Order-book is Add. MS. 34970. An index is prefixed to the volume. Paper; ff. i + 158. Folio. Collingwood sale, lot 177. Belonged to the papers of Adm. Collingwood, sold al. Sotheby's, 12 July 1921.
