"THE MANNER AND FORME how to keepe a Court leete, or a Law-day, with all things there-vnto appertaining": a somewhat abridged form of the tract printed in John Wilkinson's A Treatise collected ... concerning the Office and Authoritie of Coroners and Sherifes, 1618, pp. 77-81. Engl. and Lat. The name of the court is given, Alton Westbrooke, [co. Southt.], and initials of the lord, "R. T., miles," i.e. Sir Richard Tichborne (who succeeded as 2nd Bart. in 1629; it is perhaps a mere coincidence that Wilkinson uses the .same initials), and of the steward, "J. D." Followed (f. 6 b, and, reversing the volume, f. 25 b) by miscellaneous forms of pleading, procedure in common recoveries and fines, and other legal notes in later hands (temp. Chas. II ?) Paper ; ff. 25. Small quarto. xvii cent. Presented, with Add. Ch. 63739, 63740, by Miss 0. M. Sawyer.
