At ff. 224-234 of Vol. II is a copy or draft (endorsed "A copy of the graunt") of a proposed mortgage by Charles I to Francis [Leigh,] Lord Dunsmore, Arthur, Lord Capell of Hardham, and six others of the New Forest, Sherwood Forest, and Clarendon and Bowood Parks, dated Oxford, 4 July "anno decimo," but the date should evidently be completed "decimc nono" [1643].
