Published serially in the Nemzet in 1889 and in book form (2 vols.) in 1890. Several notes by Jókai appear on ff. 98, 1 11 b, 214 b. The MS. originally ended with vol. ii, ch. 11 (ff. 203-206), which was cancelled and rewritten as the present final chapter (no. 18) when the work was extended. Paper ; ff. 275. Quarto. A.D. 1889.
