Entries of two apparently local cults occur on (a) 6 Oct. (f. 79 b): "Item in partibus Aprutii apud Castrum Bucclani Theatine dyocesis. depositio beati Aldemarii confemoris et abbatii3," i.e. Aldemar, abbot of Bucchianico, near Chieti (cf. Acta SS., 24 Mar., pp. 487-490) (b) 5 Dec. (f. 95): "Apud Corphiniam ciuitatem Ualuensis prouincia.." natalis sancti Pelini episcopi et martyris," i.e. Pelinus, Bishop of Brindisi (cf. F. Ughelli, Italia Sacra, ix, 1721, pp. 11-29). On 8 Sept. (f. 72) a 15th cent. hand has added "Hoe die obiit Cardinalis Egidius 1367," i.e. Cardinal Aegidius Alvarez Carillo Albornoz, Archbishop of Toledo, the only Cardinal Aegidius who died in that year. His death, which is assigned to various dates in 1367, was probably on 24 Aug.; cf. H. J. Wurm, Cardinal Albornoz, pp. 224, 225. f. 6;-(8) Capitula throughout the year; cf. the description of Add. MS. 40156. On f. 106 against the capitulum for the anniversary of the dedication of the church a 15th cent. hand has added Sancti Cerbonii . x . octobris Anniversarius domesticus." f . 102. Sub domini anno millesimo quadringentesimo . tricesimo sexto. die Madii Mensis penultima . Tempore sanctissimi In Christo patris et dornini nostri domini Eugenii. diuina prouidentia pape quarti . Feliciter amen." Colophon on f. 106, "Laus sit tibi Christe: quia explicit liberiste." Gatherings of 10 leaves (i2, j12, Xil2, last^2), with catchwords. Sec, fol. of text "dyaboli extitissent." At the beginning is a coarsely illuminated border in gold and colours with a similar capital letter. Initials in red and blue with penwork flourishes in the same colours occur throughout. Contemporary binding of wooden boards covered with dark green leather rebacked, blind-tooled in a diamond-shaped pattern, with remains of iron corner pieces, central bosses, brass studs, and silk clasps. Belonged to Michael Tomkiinson of Franche Hall, Kidderminster, whose book-plate is on f. ii (sale-cat., 6 July, 1922, lot 1653).
