MISCELLANEOUS tracts, late 17th cent., viz:-
A. Draft, in a late 17th cent. hand, of a moral treatise in the form of Maxims and Reflections; written in the first person and addressed, apparently, to a nobleman. Imperf. Beg. "The Character of Humane Frailty": apparently a draft (with corrections in different late 17th cent. hands) of Part I only of a projected work in two parts, the first dealing with the disastrous effects of uncontrolled desire (illustrated by examples from classical history), whilst the second was designed to stimulate the practice of virtue.
