TYPESCRIPT COPIES of twenty-eight letters from Robert Louis Stevenson (1856~1894) to his cousin Robert Alan Mowbray Stevenson ("Bob."), painter and art critic (1847-1900); circ. 1864-1887, with a few undated ones at the end. With the exception of the third (f. 4), which concerns Swinburne's Atalanta in Calydon, printed by A. S. W. Rosenbach, Catalogue of the Books and MSS. of R. L. Stevenson in the Library of the late Harry Elkins Widener, 1913, pp. 234-38, all the letters appear to be unpublished. Extracts from

them occur in various catalogues of Messrs.
