"EVOLUTIONS with the different Forms, Orders, &c., relative to the Direction of the Fleet in the Mediterranean under the Command of Admiral Sir John Jervis, K.B. [Earl St. Vincent 1797], by Robert Calder Esq^r First Captain [Kt. 1797, Bart. 1798], between the 2nd of October 1795, and the [20th of March 1798] copies of orders, memoranda, etc., dated from Jervis's flagship the "Victory" and, after 1 April 1797. the "Ville de Paris." Calder's commission as First Captain is at f. 2 b. Besides the ordinary instructions, and an index of contents at f. 81 b, the following are included:-

1. Tactical diagrams and instructions, several of which are reproduced from another source by Adm. Sir T. S. Jackson in his article, "The Letter Books of Sir Charles Thompson," in The Naval Miscellany (Navy Records Society), ii (1910), pp. 299-307.
