QUIETUS to "James [Edward] Oglethorpe Esq^r, General and Commander in Chief of his Majesty's fforces in South Carolina and Georgia in America upon his Account thereof between the 22^d of September 1738 and Michaelmas 1743." Official certified copy from the record in the Roll of Foreign Accounts of 32 Geo. III at the Pipe Office. Oglethorpe's bills were disputed by the Treasury and the account was not settled till 25 Feb. 1792, more than four years after his death. Vellum roll. 12 ft. 1 in. x 11 1/2 in. A. D. 1792. Presented by Miss Dickinson.
