LIVES OF SAINTS, in Slavonic, combined from three distinct MSS. to form a menology for the month of January. One MS. is represented by artt. 1 and 6-9, another by artt. 2, 3 and 5, the third by art. 4. Fragments left stranded in the process of amalgamation have been cancelled (cf. ff. 114 b, 189, 222 b, 240) and in one instance at least (f. 150 b) rewritten in the new position. The numbers with which the Lives are equated below are those of the Greek originals in the Bibliotheca Hagiographica Graeca. The Lives are as follows:-(1) Basil, 1 Jan. = nos. 247-259.
