Notice of the first Tournament in Germany, celebrated by the Emperor Henry I. at Magdeburgh, in 933, f. 1 ;-Account of the first Tournament at Nuremberg, celebrated by the Emperor Henry VI. in 1198 ; including the names of the Princes, Counts, and Barons who were present, and a description of the dances and the banquet, ff. 3-37 ;-Briefer accounts of the Tournaments held in 1284, 1298, 1329, 1361, 1364, 1380, and 1388, fr. 38- 44 b.;-Tournaments held in 1401, 1434, 1437, 1440, and 1441, ff. 45-60 b. ; -Joust held by the principal inhabitants of Nuremberg and its vicinity, in 1446, with representations of the knights encountering on horseback, ff. 61- 116;-Notice of the Tournament held in 1450, f 117;-The Tournament held by Albert, Margrave of Brandenburgh, in 1454; with representations of the heralds, musicians, jesters, and others assisting in the lists; and figures of the winners of the four prizes, mounted, fF. 117 b.-131 ;-Jousts and entertainments in the years 1485-1532, ff. 132-154;-Joust held by the in. habitants of Nuremberg, on occasion of the marriage of Barnabas Pömer in the year 1538; comprising a poem on the subject, by Hans Sachs, and a representation of Joachim Pömer, armed, on horseback, ff. 154 b.-162; -Jousts in 1539, 1546, and 1561, with figures of the knights, fr. 164-176; -Collection of Ordinances respecting the dances held at the Rath-haus, 1545-1556, ff. 177-182 b. ;-Some shields of arms to be substituted for those previously drawn, f. 183.
