TABLE of the succession of Lords, Margraves, and Dukes of Austria, to Maximilian I., Emperor, in the year 1511, in German [the first leaf is wanting] f. 2;-" Wie lanng es sey, das der erst mensch in das Lannd Österreich khomen, unnd wie derselb unnd alle seine nach-khomen big auf die zeit gehaissen haben; unnd wie vill ihr aller erst ist gewesen; unnd wie manichen nammen das Lannd zu Österreich gehabt hatt; unnd wie offt sich das Landtes wappen verkhert haben; unnd von wan der fuersten weib geborn sein; und was wappen ihr vatter gefuerth haben; unnd wo die alle begraben sindt; das ist alles auzgetzogen aus der grossen Cronikhen ; " a chronicle of Austria, from the earliest time to the death of Albert, first Duke of the family of Hapsburg, in 1308; attributed to Mathew or Gregory Hagen. [The latter part of this Chronicle is printed in the Sriptores rerum Austriacarum, ed. Hieron. Pez, Vienn. tom. i. col. 1056. At f. 47 is a printed sheet, containing an historical account of Vienna] f. 9;- "Der loblichen Fuersten unnd Haus Österreich alt herkhommen unnd regieren a chronicle of the Margraves and Dukes of Austria, of the family of Bamberg, from Leopold " der durchleuchtig " to Frederic "der Manlich " [ 1 246] ; written by Ladislaus Sumthaim of Ravensburg, and known by the title of Tabulæ Claustro-Neoburgenses [printed as above, tom. i. col. 1005], f. 160;-Privi. legia Ducum et Archiducum Austriacorum;" copies of eight instruments, in Latin and German [all of them, except the last, printed in the work above cited, or in the Deutsches Reichs-archiv of J. Ch. Lunig, Leipzig, 1713-17221 19 b. The last of the series is a compact between the Emperor Rudolph II., his brothers Ernest, Matthias, and Maximilian, and their cousins Ferdinand, Charles, and Ernest, Archdukes of Austria; with the assent of the Cardinal Archduke Albert, and Archduke Wenceslaus, then absent; dat. 10 April, 1578, Germ., f 225;-Tractatus concordiæ inter Fridericum, Romanorum Imperatorem, et dominum Mathiam, Hungariæ Regem, ac regni Hungariæ. prælatos et proceres, super successione in eodem regno; una cum præfati Regis Mathiæ et quorundam prælatorum, baronum et procerum Hungariæ ratificatione; dat. Sophronii et Budæ, 1463, 1464 [See Lunig, vol. vi. p. 70], f. 254; - "Ursachen warumb die jetzigen Erzhertzogen von Österreich, so woll regierende ala nit regierende, Herrn dem Haus Bayrn zu weichen nit schuldig," f 263;-" Ein stammen buech von Noa an bis auf Carolum den Funften, von geschlect zu geschlecht," f.270. xviith cent.
