The Vishnusahasranama, the Thousand Names of Vishnu in Sanskrit, an extract from the Mahabharata.
Copied in large Devanagari writing by a Kashmirian scribe, Pandit Motirama.
The text, enclosed in frames painted in colour and gold, is accompanied by several elaborate miniatures depicting Hindu deities.
