ff. 1r-2v: Letter of King Charles I to Edward Littleton, Baron Littleton, Lord Keeper, York, 14 May 1642. With postscript and signature in the king's hand. The letter orders a proclamation for holding Trinity term next ensuing at York.
f. 3r: Letter of King Charles I to Edward Littleton, Baron Littleton, Lord Keeper, York, 19 May 1642. In the King's hand with his signature. The letter directs him to deliver up the Great Seal to the bearer, with promise to return it upon his coming to York.
