Pustaha
- Scope & Content:

Pustaha. Peculiar Mandailing Batak script. The first text concerns pagar balik kunda, the second pangulubalang (e.g. ahu debata ni aji batara guru na margorar sanggabunu ma inon, in the part of the text in Or. 2445).
According to the description in Ricklefs and Voorhoeve (1977: 10): "The MS is in two pieces, one of them being Or. 2445. The MS must be rather old, for it was broken after one side and three pp. of the other had been written. Thereafter it was stitched back together hut with the pieces wrongly reassembled, and on the reverse the second text was then written."
At present, Add 19382 is in two parts: (i) 39 leaves, with the first leaf stuck down to the front cover; (ii) 3 leaves, with 2 modern paper end leaves. The first two leaves of (i) are written upside down with respect to the other leaves. The leaves on part (ii) on this same side are also upside-down in relation to those in (i).
On the other side of the manuscript the leaves in part (ii), and are still upside down from the rest of the text, and in a different hand.
Many illustrations in black ink on both sides of the manuscript.
