"ARTIS Tintorum et Cul [ci]trariorum" Statuta: "Tempore Magnifici Camerarii Permatens. Constantini Herculani." Statute-book of the combined Guild of Dyers and Quilt-makers at Perugia, with minutes of meetings. Imperfect; containing chapters 39-65, of which chapters 43-65 are dated 2 June, 1403-15 Oct. 1459. There are other entries of the XVth-XVIIth centt., and one (f. 22) giving a list of "Giurati;" dat. 30 May, 1807. In the early entries the word "cultrariorum" [of cullers] is used; in the later, "culcitrariorum" [of quilt-makers]. To the confirmations of these statutes are appended a few original signatures. At f. 20 is that of Tiberio Crispo, Cardinal Archbishop of Amalfi, and Apostolical Legate in Perugia; dat.
11 July, 1547; with the Cardinal's arms in colour; and at f. 17 is that of Cardinal Bonifazio Bevilaqua, Bishop of Cervia, and Apostolical Legate in Perugia; dat. 20 May, 1603. Vellum; XVth cent., with additions to the XIXth cent.; with two miniatures representing the Camerarius as kneeling before three saints, and as explaining the statutes to the members of the Guild. In a leather binding, with blind tooling and brass studs. Folio.
