MATRICOLA of the school dedicated to the Virgin and San Donato, in the Venetian island of Murano; containing the Statutes as reformed in 1333, with additional chapters, the last of which is dated 19 Jan. 1555. Ital. Followed by a decision as to certain expenditures of the school fund, delivered in the Episcopal Court of Torcelli ; dat. 10 Dec. 1592. Lat. f. 19 b; and by resolutions as to the establishment of an Oratory, and other matters in the XVIIth and XVIIIth centt. Italian. ff. 21-36. Many of these entries are signed by the Podestà of Murano for the time being. The latest document is a copy of a decree of the Doge, Aloysio Mocenigo, against the export of coin; dat. 6 May, l771. In Italian. f. 35. On a paper fly-leaf (f. 1) is the note: "1667. Questa Scola fu prinzipiata l'anno del N. S. 993 ad' istanza di Otton terzo Imperator, e' fu gouernata dalle done sino l'anno 1333, et d' l'anno 1333 sino hora presente é gouernata dalli huomini:" signed "Francesco . . . . (?) Zuane Pizzocharo, Scriuan." Vellum; XVIth cent.; with illuminated initials, and two miniatures of the Assumption and St. Donato; with additions on paper of the XVIth-XVIIIth centt. Folio.
