A SELECTION from the correspondence and papers of Mary Gladstone (b. 1847, d. 1927), daughter of William Ewart Gladstone, Prime Minister, and wife (1886) of Canon Harry Drew. Some of the documents in this collection were printed in Mary Gladstone (Mrs. Drew), Her Diaries and Letters, 1930, edited by Lucy Masterman, and in L. Marsh-Philipps and B. Christian, Some Hawarden Letters 1878-1913, 1917. These papers supplement those of Mary's father (Add. MSS. 44086-44835) and of her brother, Herbert John Gladstone, Viscount Gladstone 1910 (Add.
