Most of the material transcribed is referred to by A. Rimmer and H. W. Adnitt, History of Shrewsbury School 1551-1888, 1889. Paper; ff. i + 32. Folio. Early XIX cent. Contemporary vellum binding. Passed to the Rev. William John James (d. 1862), nephew of John Hill, and afterwards to his daughter Frances Elizabeth Nesse Clark (wife of the Rev. George Nesse Clark), who gave it in 1898 to her brother Lt.- Col. William Hill James, see her note at f. i. Transferred from the Department of Printed Books.
