A selection from the papers of (and other papers relating to) William Boyd Carpenter, K.C.V.O., Bishop of Ripon 1884-1911, and Clerk of the Closet to Edward VII and George V (b. 1841, d. 1918). Many of the documents in this collection were printed by Boyd Carpenter in his Some Pages of my Life (1911) and Further Pages of my Life (1916), and also by the Rev. Henry Dewsbury Alves Major, D.D., Principal of Ripon Hall, Oxford, in his The Life and Letters of William Boyd Carpenter (1925). Forty-nine volumes. Folio and quarto. Classified as follows: A.
