'Records of the Giffard family' compiled for Frederick Arthur Vincent Copland Copland-Griffiths (a descendant of the Giffard family of Rushall, co. Wilts.) by Ethel Stokes and Mary L. Cox, record agents; circ. 1910-1923. The material, which appears to have been used for the article on 'Giffard formerly of Rushall', in Burke's Landed Gentry, 1952, comprises abstracts and transcripts of original records in the Public Record Office and elsewhere, and extracts from printed calendars, lists, etc., of these; the greater part relates to bearers of the name Giffard in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Vol. I contains abstracts of wills: the contents of the other volumes are miscellaneous. Paper. Five volumes. Folio. Presented by Messrs. Burke's Peerage Ltd.
