They include much material of Departmental interest, amongst which, at 47687 B, ff. 32-95 passim, is an exchange of letters with his colleague, John Alexander Herbert, relating to the return to London in 1918-1919 of manuscripts evacuated to the National Library of Wales during the First World War.
