Diaries and correspondence of Constance Flower née de Rothschild (b. 1843, d. 1931), wife (1877) of Cyril Flower, M.P., Baron Battersea 1892, followed (Vols. XL-LIV) by those of her mother, Louisa (b. 1821, d. 1910), wife of Sir Anthony de Rothschild, 1st Bart., and (Vols. LV, LVI) her sister, Annie (b. 1844, d. 1926), wife (1873) of the Hon. Eliot Constantine Yorke. Included also are some papers of Lady Battersea's husband and father. Much of the correspondence is with members of the Rothschild family. The collection was extensively used by Lady Battersea in her Reminiscences, 1922, and by Lucy Cohen in her Lady de Rothschild and her Daughters 1821-1931, 1935. The names of writers are given in the Index to the present Catalogue. Fifty-six volumes. Various sizes. Presented by James Arthur Waley Cohen, Esq.
