(1) 'A Judicial [of Urines]', beg. 'Uryne browne wiþ a blake rynge is signe of deþe'. ff. 8-15b.
(2) Recipes for coloured medicines. ff. 15b- 16b.
(3) Treatise in English upon herbs, arranged in alphabetical order. It begins 'Agnus is an herbe þt men clepe Tutseyn' and ends at the entry for 'Solatrum nigrum'. ff. 16b-42. For an edition of a version of this text see Essays and Studies on English Language and Literature, VI: Agnus Castus, ed. Gösta Brodin, Upsala, 1950. Other MSS. of this text may be found in Add. (4) 'Tabula herbaria', apparently intended as a supplement to art. 3. The short index which precedes it applies rather to part of art. 5. ff. 42b-47.
(5) 'Medicynes'-a miscellaneous collection of recipes, a few of which (ff. 50b-52b) are in Latin. After f. 90 two leaves are missing. ff. 47-91 b.
(6) 'Here biginnyth medicynes gode, þe whiche þat gode lechis haþe yfounde and j-drawe oute of gode bokis Galien and Asche Pyus and Ypocras'. The greater part of this article appears in Royal MS. 12 G. iv, ff. 188b-190, etc., where it is described as 'Practica Edwardi [Nigri], Universitatis Oxonie qui fuit ... cirurgicus' (see description in Catalogue of Western MSS. in the Old Royal and King's Collections, vol. ii, 1921). Leaves are missing after ff. 102 (1), 103 (6), 104 (1). ff. 91b-105b. The above are in a 15th cent. hand, with an index in a later hand at ff. 5-7. Additional matter, in 15th- 16th centt. hands, at the beginning and end of the MS. are (a, b) Two recipes (dated 1500), and a list of 'Precious waters'. f. 1 b;- (c) 'Thys [is] a Rewyll off the speyr off Pictagoras ... Bethe wyche a man may know ... off seyk men ... wethyr thay Shall lyue or dye' (cf. Royal MS. 17 A. xxxii, f. 3). f. 2;- (d) 'Liber urinarum valde utilis', beg. 'Now her begynnyth the waters', possibly intended as a preface to art. 1. f. 3;-
(e) 'Unguentum diaflosmus (?)'. f. 3b;- (f) 'As ther is VII dayes of the weykes so ther is VII herbys pryncipall'. f. 4b;- (g) A short treatise on the treatment of wounds. ff. 106-107;- (h) Recipes in the hand of Nicholas Watson, surgeon to Sir William Hylton, preceded by a recommendation in the hand of the latter, 20 Aug. 1503. f. 108;- (i) 'The propertes of our daffodyls', written at 'yelyston', 14 May 1491. f. 110.
