For the following occasions:- (a) 'Ante quamvis orationem'. f. 3;- (b) 'In Die Dominico'. f. 3b- ( c) 'Generalis confessio'. f. 4b;- (d) 'Invocatio ad Trinitatem, Augustini'. f. 6;- (e) 'Pro Mittendis Ministris Verbi'. f. 7;- (f) 'Vt quis in semine bono existat'. f. 7b;- (g) 'Sacram concionem audituri'. f. 9;- (h) 'Ante concionem'. f. 9b. Latin. 16th cent. The text is written calligraphically, with black and gold initial letters with delicately executed ornamentation in the same colours. At f. 2 is a painting (circa 1600) of what is said to be Luther preaching, in an ornamental border, by an artist, probably German, who signs himself 'G.G.' The ascription to George Glockenthon (or Glockendon) by Rudolf Eric Raspe (see f. 1) is incorrect. Vellum and paper; ff. 10. Octavo. XVI cent. Presented by Dr. Sidney Swinney, 18 May 1764.
