(a) Legend of the foundation of the Nunnery, with notes of early benefactions, rentals, etc. At f. 22 begins an account of property acquired under Agnes de Methelwolde, prioress, 1315-1342. In various 14th cent. hands. French and Latin. ff. 1-35. (b) Terrier and rental, made on 30 Dec. 1420. Written in the late 15th cent. The headings on ff. 36 and 42b are in the same hand as art. (c). Latin. ff . 36-49. (c) Account of work executed at the house, 1420-1444, and after 1461. Late 15th cent. Incomplete. ff. 50b-53. At f. 1 is a memorandum concerning the claim of the Vicar of Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdalen for fees for a wedding held in the Nunnery, 1476. ff. i, 1-35, 50b-53 are transcribed and indexed by M. Bateson in Norfolk Archaeology, xi, 1892, pp. 1-71. Vellum. Small quarto. Leaves appear to be missing after ff. 16, 21, 29, 31, 33, and 53. Vol. II (ff. 55-64). Survey of property of Sir Edward Gage, namely Crabhouse Nunnery and former possessions of the house and of West Dereham Abbey in Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdalene and elsewhere in Norfolk, by John Fawkener and Edward Bowett, 22 Mar. 1556/7.
