'A Journall of the Swedish Ambassy in the yeares 1653 & 1654 Impartially written by the Ambassadour' (i.e. the English Ambassador to Sweden, Bulstrode Whitelocke). Autograph. Published in 1772 by Dr. Charles Morton; another edition was published in 1855 by Henry Reeve. For some additional material intended for the appendix to Morton's edition see Add. MS. 4995. Another account of this embassy by Whitelocke, chiefly autograph, is in Add. MSS. 37346, 37347 (of which Add. MS. 4991 A, B are copies). Cf. also Add. MS. 53727. Supplementary to Add. MSS. 4749- 4754. Paper; ff. i + 200. Folio. 1653-1654. Acquired by Dr. Morton from Bulstrode Whitelocke's grandson, Carleton Whitelocke, and presented by him to the British Museum, 22 Sept. 1772.
