It was taken from the annual account, the day-books, and the Controlment Rolls, in the Mint at the Tower, by Anthony Pollett, Deputy-Controller of the Mint, by order of the Hon. Richard Arundell when Master of the Mint (1737-1744). For another copy in the same hand, see King's MS. 68. The contents are as follows:-
(1) The weight of the money coined in each year from 1660 to 1751, including some from the mints of Bristol, Chester, Exeter, Norwich, and York (f. 11b; see also f. 31b), and Edinburgh (f. 13b; see also f. 33b); taken from the annual accounts. ff. 4b-19.
(2) The weight and value of the money coined in each reign, from Charles II to George II (1751). ff. 20b-22b; 42b-44.
(3) Account of the coinage 'as by the Controllment Rolls' for each year from 1660 to 1701, and in 1714, 1727. ff. 22b-28b.
(4) Observations on the coinage in 1661-1746. ff. 29-37.
(5) 'Account of the several species of Money mention'd in the Jury's verdicts to be found in the Pix at the Tryals thereof'; 1660-1661. ff. 37b-41. Paper; ff. 44. Small octavo. Circ. A.D. 1752.
