Scope & Content:

LETTERS of Charles, Duke of Orleans, to François de l'Ospital, Seigneur de Soisy, ordering the sum of 240 livres tournois to be paid to Jehan le Margeriel, for a bay horse, given to Jehan de Cornuaille, and a steel haubergeon, given to Henry Descueil; dat. Blois, 7 Dec. 1412;-Letters of François de l'Ospital to Pierre Renier, Treasurer- General, ordering the said sum to be paid; dat. 23 Dec. 1412. With his signature;-Three receipts given by Jehan le Margeriel, for the above sum, paid 4 Feb. 1412, 13 June, and 24 Oct. 1413;-Certificate of Pierre du Saillant, that the said horse and haubergeon bad been purchased for the said sum of 240 livres ; dat. 18 Nov. 1412.
