Acknowledgement by Eustacia, prioress of Stixwould [Lincolnshire], that she has received the final account of John Burbut, once bailiff of her manor of Honington, and an acquaintance of receipts and payments; given at Stixwould, 3 February 1400.
Endorsed: in a 16th-century hand, ‘super n. Burbolls aquittance’.
Affixed with an imperfect seal of Eustacia, prioress of Stixwould, lozenge, brown, with Christ standing atop an orb and in a carved and canopied niche, the prioress in prayer below, with a fragmentary legend, ‘…tisse de st…’ (see Birch, Catalogue of Seals (1887-1900), I, p. 762).
