- Dimensions: 330 x 203 mm.
- Binding: Half goat leather binding with red cloth and leather corners. 18th-century binding in Turkish style with gold-stamped panels at the centre and four corners, kept separately.
- Scribes: Compiled by Nikolaos Karatzas (fl. 1730-1784), logothete of the Patriarch of Constantinople, the latest of whose additions is dated 15 Dec. 1777 (f 3v). Karatzas is identified as the copyist of the table of contents (f 2), and texts and annotations on ff 3-5v, 25-25v, 75v, 81v, 130, 131-131v, 158v, 169-169v (see Fonkitch and Papazoglou). Copied by several Greek hands.

- Armorial bookplate of the Hon. Frederic North, later 5th Earl of Guilford, inscribed in ink 'No 30' (listed as such in the catalogue of Guilford's Greek books, Add MS 16572, f 4). '238', '694' and 'u.a.L/1/E' in pencil at top of front pastedown. f 168v: ἔχοντες ἡμεῖς τὸ λεξικὸν τοῦ Σουΐδα εἰς τὰ χέρια μας, τὸ ὁποῖον ἦτο ἀφιερωμένον εἰς τὴν μονὴν τῆς ὑπεραγίας Θεοτόκου τῆς ἐπονομαζομένης Τατάρνης, ἀντὶ τοῦ Σουΐδα ἐδώκαμεν ἕνα ἐτυμολογικὸν τοῦ κὺρ Ἀνανίου τοῦ προεστῶτος τῆς αὐτῆς μονῆς καὶ ἐξισασθήκαμεν σὺν Θεῷ. ὁ εὐγένιος εἶπεν καὶ ἔγραψεν.
