- Paisios Hagiopostolites, Metropolites of Rhodes, Verse history of Mount Sinai and its environs. The verses give a historical and geographical account of Mount Sinai, its environs and associated places. They include a description of the Monastery of St. Catherine. According to Paisios his history was based on his own experience of living as a hieromonk at the Monastery of St. Catherine and was written at the monastery's metochion in Cairo (see lines 1109-1110, 1148, 1151, 2265-2266).

- Foliation: ff i + 73. Gatherings of 16 leaves, except the last, with two inserted leaves (ff 17, 27): 116+1 (ff 1-17), 216+1 (ff 18-34), 3-416 (ff 35-66), 58-1 (ff 67-73).
- Dimensions: 104 x 72 mm. Text-block: 74 x 50 mm. 16 lines to a page.
- Binding: Contemporary binding of blind-stamped leather over pasteboard, now lacking two thongs.
- Scribes: At the end of the volume (f 73v) is a scribal note identifying the copyist as Isaios.
- Custodial History:
- Armorial bookplate (front pastedown) of the Hon. Frederic North, later 5th Earl of Guilford, inscribed in pencil with the shelfmark 'u.a.L/10/A' and the numbers '567' and '550'.
- Source of Acquisition:
- Purchased, together with Add MSS 8225, 8234-8236, 8239-8242, from R. H. Evans, 8 December 1830, lot 550 (part).
