- Ἰωασὰφ μοναχοῦ τοῦ Καντακουζηνοῦ ὃς καὶ αὐτοκράτωρ ἤδη ἦν παράφρασις τῶν Ἀριστοτέλους Ἡθικῶν Νικομαχείων αον κε(φάλαιον) α΄ ὅτι ἔστι τὶ ἔσχατον τέλος πρὸς ὃ πᾶσαι τάττονται αἱ ἀνθρωπίναι πράξεις. Begins "Ἐν πάσῃ τέχνῃ καὶ μεθόδῳ, ἀγαθόν τι ζητοῦμεν..." Ends "...τούτων γὰρ δὴ πάντων θεωρηθέντων, συνίδοιμεν ἄν, καὶ ποῖα πολιτεῖα ἀρίστη καὶ πῶς ἑκάστη ταχθεῖσα καὶ τίσι νόμοις καὶ ἔθεσι χρωμένη τοῖς πολιτευομένοις λυσιτελήσει λέγομεν οὖν ἀρξάμενοι."
