Geoponica (TLG 4080.001) attributed to Cassianus Bassus Scholasticus. Imperfect, containing only Books I, II, IV-VII. Preceded (ff 1r-6v) by imperfect πίναξ relating to Books II-XVII. Text inc. (Beckh Geoponica p.3, l. 10 ) Ταραντίνου καὶ Δημοκρίτου καὶ ᾽Αφρικανοῦ. For a similar example of 'crossing' on extended descenders in the last line see Add. MS 41660.

Foliation: ff 76 (+ an unfoliated modern paper flyleaf at the beginning and 2 at the end).
Dimensions: 215 x 170 mm.
Ruling: 175 x 120 mm. Leroy P2 33C1, 27-28 lines per page.
Binding: British Museum.
Decoration: Headpieces in brown or brown and red with braided decoration (ff 17v, 46v). Simple headpieces in red or red and brown. Small initials in red.

Great Meteora, Thessaly: in the library in 1859, when it was seen by Porphyre Uspenskij (cf. Augustin and Guignard 2013).
Angela Georgina Burdett-Coutts, suo jure Baroness Burdett-Coutts (b. 1814, d. 1906), philanthropist: given to Sir Roger Cholmeley's School: manuscript number 'II.14' (f 7r).
Sir Roger Cholmeley's School, Highgate.
Owned by Angela Georgina, Baroness Burdett-Coutts, who presented the MS to Sir Roger Cholmely's School, Highgate (pencil press-mark 'II.14' (f. 7) appears identical to that of a further Burdett-Coutts MS (see Sotheby's, 23 June 1987, lot 45), now in the National Library of Greece). Purchased with the aid of the Farnborough Funds from the Governors of Highgate School, in 1938.
