Physical Characteristics:

Material: Parchment.

Foliation: ff 288. Three unfoliated modern paper flyleaves at the beginning and three at the end.

Dimensions: 305 x 235 mm.

Ruling: 190 x 160 mm, written in two columns, 24-25 lines per column.

Binding: Stamped leather on wooden sides and bosses, possibly the original binding, but rebacked in the 19th century, at which time the inner boards were overlaid with goatskin.

Decoration: Illuminated head-pieces, gilt titles and initials.

Custodial History:

Origin: Eastern Mediterranean.

Source of Acquisition:

Purchased at the sale of H. Stanhope Freeman, Consul at Ioannina (Greece), 11 January 1862.
