- Letter, dated 1781, from Richard Chicheley Plowden (1743-1830), Bengal Civil Service 1780-88, East India Company Director 1803-29, written on a journey from Chunar to Lucknow to his wife at Lucknow; also letter, dated 1804, from their son George Augustus Chicheley Plowden (1785-1804), Bengal Civil Service 1804, to his sister in London, giving news of his brothers and of his life in Calcutta.
