Materials: palm leaf manuscript (bai lan).
Dimensions: 556 mm x 55 mm.
Script: 5 lines per leaf, Northern Thai Tham script.
Binding: Bound in red wooden covers with gold floral decoration.
Wrapper: Cotton and bamboo wrapper, size 550 mm x 430 mm, made from 34 bamboo slatsinserted instead of weft during the weaving process on the loom. Naturally dyed, hand-spun cotton alternated with chemical dyed red, blackand blue cotton yarns. The four sides of the hem are sewn with white hand-wovencotton lining. It is a popular manuscript textile-making style of the Tai-Lao ethnic groups in Thailand's northern and north-eastern regions.
