Binding: Wooden covers with text 'Kap ni Phutthakhun sip duang ratchasattha Maha Yuwarat Cao Muang Chiang Thang'.

Wrapper: Manuscript wrapper, size 580 mm x 800 mm, woven using the Khit (continuoussupplementary weft tapestry) technique on a hand-loom. In the centre of the fabric, there is asymmetric red diamond pattern on a plain white background and a knot-likepattern arranged in four rows on one side and 5 rows on the other side inblack, red, blue, and yellow, with the ends of both sides woven in plain white.The design is similar to the traditional Tai-Lao shoulder cloth known as"Pha Chet," which is worn by men when they go to the temple orspecial occasions. This technique and pattern are widely used in Laos and thenortheastern region of Thailand (Isan). Possibly late 19th or early 20th century.
