A detached former Cambridge binding of c. 1625-1640, of brown calf decorated with red paint and stamped with gold, silver and blind tooling (see Brown, The Luttrell Psalter (2006) p. 29); armourial bookplate of Thomas Weld of Lulworth Castle (b. 1750, d. 1810), and ownership inscriptions in Latin on the paste-down in the inside upper cover; the inner spine from an earlier binding (perhaps of the 14th century) with the remains of 8 cords with sewing attached (this image is numbered f. i recto). This binding was formerly part of Add MS 42130.
