Add MS 42131/1

The components of former bindings, kept separately, are as follows:

• original 15th century binding of white leather on wooden boards (beech and oak) covered with red velvet, in the late 17th century (?) and rebacked in the 20th century;
• 2 fragments of a 14th-century Italian manuscript of St Thomas Aquinas, Secunda secundae Summae Theologiae, (quaestio 10, 1-3) used as pastedowns to the inside upper cover;
• unfoliated modern marble paper pastedown detached from the board of the binding, at the beginning and end (images numbered as ff. 1r, 15v);
• 3 conservation photos of the medieval pastedowns (item 2), original spine (item 8), and the back inside cover of the binding, each pasted on a recto of a separate folio (images numbered as ff. 2r, 3r, 4r);
• 10 parchment strips cut from 17th-century legal documents and previously pasted across the spine between the bands as additional reinforcement (images numbered as ff. 5r, 5v);
• a velvet spine cover, late 17th century (?) (image numbered as f. 6r);
• 5 silk curtains removed from the manuscript at ff. 36v, 45v, 72v, 108v, 134v, 182v (image numbered as ff. 7r-12r).
• original 15th-century spine with nine pairs of thongs (image numbered as f. 14r).
